Scott Peters, formerly Co-President of The Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc. (“JEGI”) and CEO of JEGI Capital LLC, a registered broker dealer, has represented a wide array of companies in an M&A advisory capacity over his career. Mr. Peters played an instrumental role in building JEGI to one of the top middle market investment banks serving the marketing, information, media and tech-enable business services sectors. JEGI has led the Bloomberg M&A league tables in its core sectors since 2012. Mr. Peters sourced and managed over 110 transactions with JEGI and is known as one of the most innovative, strategic and effective bankers and advisors in his sectors.

Mr. Peters was a founding investor in JEGI Capital, an early stage venture capital fund focused on emerging technology companies in the marketing, information, media and tech-enable business services sectors. The fund was launched in 2000 and managed to return over 2x its capital to investors, which was an exceptional outcome for funds of this vintage. Personal investments include Arc Angel Fund I and Fund II in New York City and privately investing in six middle market private equity backed platform companies.

Mr. Peters offers a unique blend of traditional investment banking and direct operating experience. Before rejoining JEGI, he was the co-founder of AngelSociety, an information, communications and transaction company serving the early stage investing or 'angel' investing market. Prior to his initial employment with JEGI, Mr. Peters was with Veronis Suhler Stevenson, where he served as Director of Research and later, Director of Business Development by creating the deal origination platform for the investment bank and private equity fund.

Mr. Peters served as a Media & Entertainment Sector advisor to The New York City Investment Fund ("NYCIF") for over seven years. NYCIF was founded by Henry R. Kravis and is a $100 million, New York City-based private fund with a civic mission. Mr. Peters also serves on the Advisory Board of Columbia Business School’s Social Enterprise Program, the Board of Opus Agency and is a Senior Advisor to and on the Advisory Board of JEGI.

Mr. Peters earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BBA from Babson College.

Mr. Peters lives in Darien, CT and is married, with two boys ages 14 and 11.  Interests include guitar, piano, golf and travel.
